Carpe Diem Botanic Water – The “good for you” Red Bull or coffee alternative?
Girlie Gossip was excited to try out this new sparkling herbal water drink which could help banish those 4pm lapses for good, help us relax or even feel more harmonised!
So what is it all about?
At the Carpe Diem website (http://www.carpediem.com) we were able to find out a little bit more about why this new Botanic Water could be a great revelation! The website begins by telling us a little about the history of the thinking behind this new product:
“The Ancient Greeks and Egyptians studied the beneficial value of herbs and plants. By about 400 BC the Greek physician Hippocrates had already documented the healing powers of over 300 species in his work “De veterum medica”. Today, homeopathy uses these insights to stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.”
This is clearly where the idea for this product stems and they go on to explain “Carpe Diem Botanic Water draws on this age-old knowledge of the powers of nature. Whether relaxing, harmonising or vitalising, each blend of Botanic Water contains the power of carefully selected plant extracts combined with spring water and the sweetness of fruit to offer 100 % natural drinking pleasure.”
The best thing of all about this product, unlike many other simulation or energy drinks, this is actually good for you! Claimed to be 100% natural, the drinks contain no added sugar, no added flavourings and no colourings or preservatives! Team this with a fat content of precisely ZERO and this just has to be a hit with us ladies!
What does it taste like?
All three drinks have slightly differing tastes, but are very soft and delicate. They are almost like a standard sparkling water with a “twist” of herbal input! Gorgeous chilled, and poured over a few ice cubes with a twist of lemon for a summers afternoon, or great straight from the bottle for those of us on the run!
The Botanic Waters are delicious to drink, and from what we can tell, do pretty much what they claim to. In our opinion, these fizzy finds are definitely for keeps!
