Girlie Gossip Reviews…
We recently reviewed one of the Harumika starter sets, here are our thoughts!
The premise of this toy is so simplistic that I must admit, I was pretty sceptical about it at first. I wasn't sure if it would prove to be genuinely entertaining for kids but I guess I was proved well and truly wrong by my 8yr old who has spent the best part of a Saturay morning playing with it!
The whole idea is that you use the fabrics provided to create different styles of outfit on your manequin and the clever little fitting tool means you can eaily secure them to the back of the doll without it coming undone. This means no need for glue, scissors or any mess at all really! (can you see why I'm such a fan now?!)
You can purchase different sets, including a wedding set which is perfect given the upcoming royal wedding and there are a wide variety of matericals and accessories.
www.bandai.co.uk has the whole range but we have just been dragged to Toys R Us to buy additional sets to go with this and Argos and many more shops also stock them. You could even use your own fabric scraps to add to the designs if you're into crafting like us. I was really taken with this and it makes great entertainment for those budding fashionistas out there!
