Ladies: What to Pack for a Corporate Retreat

A corporate retreat is a good way for businesses to take a look at how they are performing and take part in a few team building activities. You probably don’t want to sacrifice your style at an event like this, so use this packing guide to make sure you have everything you need.

Important Documents

You may need to take a few documents with you before you travel. Your passport might be required to prove that you’re with the corporate party. If you’re in charge of the whole affair, you may also need some documentation for proof of booking. This is normal for venue hire at and similar places. You will at least need to save important emails on your portable devices to show as you arrive. Make sure the rest of the party have everything they need too.

Sensible Shoes

It isn’t a good idea to take only your best shoes to a corporate retreat. You should take a few pairs of sensible shoes to see you through your time there. The best thing you can do is enquire about what you’ll be doing there before you leave. That way, you’ll know exactly what kind of shoes you’ll need. I’d bet a good pair of sport’s shoes will do the job.

Comfortable/Sports Clothing

For team building activities, it’s definitely advisable to wear comfortable clothing – even sports clothing will do! You want to be flexible and comfortable enough to complete any task that comes your way. If you don’t really own any clothing like this, consider borrowing it from somebody who does.

Mini Toiletries

Mini toiletries will save lots of room in your bag and keep you looking fresh. You might get a few toiletries included in your room, so you can always check this beforehand. Dry shampoo, wipes, shower gel, and similar products are all great to pack.

Beauty Products

You’ll need some beauty products, but you shouldn’t go overboard. There may be times where you have dinner together or perhaps go for a drink. For your daytime look, make sure you have the following items:

  • Hair ties and clips.
  • Mascara.
  • Tinted moisturiser with SPF.
  • Lip balm.

If you know you’ll go out sometimes, then you should take some of the following products:

  • A heated hair appliance, if needed.
  • Foundation.
  • Concealer.
  • Lipstick.
  • Eyebrow pencil.
  • Mascara.

Just remember that this is still a corporate event and you probably won’t want to look dressed up to the nines!

Night Time Attire

Night time attire for attending drinks and meals should be kept classy. Pencil skirts and blouses can look really nice, as can shift dresses. Make sure you try on all outfits before leaving so you know they are appropriate for the event!

You may also want to pack pyjamas, especially if you’re sharing a room with any of your colleagues!

Don’t forget to take electrical items, like your important chargers to keep electrical devices online.

Add anything else to the list that suits your personal situation – have fun!
