James Blunt All The Lost Souls CD Album Review

It’s been a while since we heard anything new from James Blunt, too long if you ask me! But finally JB is back with another cracking album that I completely fell in love with after only a few plays.

James Blunt is one of those singers who you either love or hate. My husband hates his music and rolls his eyes dramatically every time I play it but I absolutely adore it. I think that the way he crafts his lyrics and the individual flow of each song is beautiful and although nothing is going to beat the success of ‘You’re Beautiful’ and ‘Goodbye My Lover’ there are definitely a few great potential singles to be taken from All The Lost Souls.

Those of you who have seen James play live will have heard a few of these new songs before, but it’s great to finally have them on an album!

A few of my favourite tracks are:

Carry You Home
– I love the lyrics to this “as strong as you were, tender you go, I’m watching you breathing for the last time. A song for your heart, but when it is quiet I know what it means and I’ll carry you home” they are beautiful.

Give Me Some Love
– This is one of the more upbeat tracks on the album and it’s quite catchy, annoyingly so actually, I’ve been humming it all day!

I Really Want You
– I LOVE this song “No matter what I say or do, the message isn’t getting through, and you’re listening to the sound of my breaking heart”

I could pick loads more but in all honestly I’d probably end up quoting the whole track listing! I think this album will definitely appeal to fans of James Blunt, and with some good choices for the new singles may also win over some of those who are less fond of him. Great to see James back in action and hopefully he’ll tour the UK again soon! (PS, Bristol or Cardiff Please Mr Blunt!!)
